Garouden Episode 3 Recap: Netflix released yet another Japanese anime “Garouden: The Way of The Lone Wolf” in eight episodes. The revolves around a group of boxers and karate fighters where an underground mafia is trying to make a fighting contest for the best fighters and thus they are trying to recruit the best of them to do their bad work in the underground mafia.
Juzo Fujimaki is a fugitive hunted by the police authorities for a crime. While dealing with his inner wolf character he tries to stay away from police authorities. Episode 3 starts with a flashback that happens in Master Izumi’s house. An outsider comes to the house and tried to rape Master Izumi’s daughter Saeko Izumi. Saeko Izumi was sitting there after the dress got stripped when the attacker try to rape her Juzo Fujimaki came there and beat him.
In that fight, Juzo Fujimaki killed that intruder very violently. Saeko Izumi was in shock and in gratitude towards Juzo Fujimaki. Saeko Izumi had developed a love for Juzo Fujimaki. Juzo Fujimaki still has that traumatic experience of seeing Saeko Izumi getting attacked when he sees some incidents.
Cut to the current situation, people are behind catching Juzo Fujimaki. Apparently, Miyuki lied about a boat that was lost from the port. So these people thought Juzo Fujimaki had been taken away and went from here. So they went following the path. At the temple, Joze is getting trained by Master Ranbo. Joze tries to hit Master Ranbo but he is unable to touch him. Master Ranbo is more advanced than Joze. Joze’s methods are not working for him. Master Ranbo explains to Joze that Joze is capable of defeating him easily but Joze is not doing it correctly.

Miyuki came to meet Makio but he was out there in the woods. Miyuki went to see Makio. Apparently, Makio is Juzo Fujimaki. They call him Makio for years. Miyuki told a flashback of her meeting Juzo Fujimaki first time. When she was working in a bar, a man tried to harass her, but Juzo Fujimaki who was there helped her by breaking the hand of that guy. Juzo Fujimaki asked for Master Ranbo to Miyukki. Juzo Fujimaki came there to train how to suppress his inner wolf not taking over on him.
After some time he left the place. Now he came back again to the same place. Officer Tamon is on a flight and is thinking about a flashback of him fighting with Juzo Fujimaki and Juzo Fujimaki defeating him.
Tsutomu Himekava as per his master Shozan Matsuo’s command went to meet Master Izumi. Tsutomu Himekava talked with Master Izumi’s daughter Saeko Izumi that he wanted to meet Master Izumi. Tsutomu Himekava and Master Izumi had a chat where Tsutomu Himekava told him about the fight that happened with Juzo Fujimaki and the bear.
Also, he told him that Juzo Fujimaki defeated Ichiro Shino. Tsutomu Himekava invited Master Izumi to take part in the contest to see who is the greatest fighter as requested by Shozan Matsuo who is the head of Hokushinkans. Juzo Fujimaki had a chat with Joze. Juzo Fujimaki told him the technique to beat Master Ranbo. Three strangers came to get Juzo Fujimaki in a helicopter. They were beaten by Master Ranbo and Joze. At the end of the episode, Juzo Fujimaki said he is getting ready for an all-out war.
Overall the episode was just normal, like they are building something here to make a big fight which is coming. Let’s see how this gonna develop more.
