He has also killed those who stood against him and refused to join. He is now marching towards Rook’s Rest. When Jacearys suggest the council to send the dragons to fight, Rhaenyra says that she will join with them in the war to which Jace opposes as they can’t risk her life because f anything happens to her, that will be the end of it.
He even says that he will be going instead of her and will ensure that Cole and his army are on their knees but she denies his proposal saying he lacks experience. Then Rhaenys says that she can fight with Cole on her largest dragon Meleys. Then comes the scene where Rhaenyra discusses about Aegon the Conqueror’s Dream – ‘The Song of Ice and Fire’, and the battle scenes begin here.
While the battle starts and soldiers are seen swinging swords, a dragon is been spotted and everyone starts running away. It is Rhaenys Targaryen who comes riding Meleys. While she was going against Cole’s army and showering fire on them, a signal is passed by Cole and we can see Aemond sitting on Vhagar. But wait, is he not joining the war yet, he asked Vhagar to stay and wait for a while but what for?

So this is the time where, as per Cole’s plan, Aegon is being spotted on his dragon going against Rhaenys. What Aemond does is, let Rhaenys defeat Aegon on his dragon Sunfire and while she is battling him, he shows up with Vhagar, and his huge fireball hits Meleys and Sunfire making Sunfire fall along with Aegon.
Then the dragon fight continues between Meleys and Vhagar and at first glance, Meleys hits Vhagar and manages to step away but then for some reason, Rhaenys decides to head back looking for Aemond, and suddenly he appears and Vhagar holds Meley throat in his jaws ending up killing him and then Meleys falls on the ground killing Rhaenys, the Queen who never was. But this is still confusing why she flew back which ended with her death. No doubt, she was one of the wisest and most dignified characters in this show, and her lack of presence will be felt.
So this episode ends with Aemond betraying Aegon. At first, he purposely delayed joining the battle letting Aegon fave Rhaenys all alone and then by hitting him with Vhagar’s dragonfire and making him fall on the ground. But that’s not it, even when the battle is over, we can see him standing next to Aegon’s body with his sword out.
If we talk about the story in Fire & Blood, then episode 4 has taken slightly different turns and leaves the audience in suspense about what might unfold in the upcoming episodes.
