Joe Rogan Make Jokes On Vaccine and Trans in Recent Netflix Special

Famous comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan recently released his standup comedy special at a Majestic Theatre in San Antonio and debuted live on Netflix on Saturday i.e. 3rd August 2024. This is his third Netflix special with the name, “Burn the Boats”. Undoubtedly, he has become a trending gossip among the viewers of the show not for his funny jokes but instead for his offensive and disrespectful behaviour towards the COVID-19 situation and the trans community.

In this special, Joe decides to open the show by acknowledging this reputation around controversial topics. As he is commonly known for his unapologetic nature, his show gets full attention but the critics for both applauses as well as criticism. In the entire show, his jokes kept revolving around mocking COVID-19 Vaccines and making fun of trans people which was not accepted by all. In the hour-long comedy special, he targeted some of the most controversial topics which made his fame burn in it.

He started his jokes like, “COVID-19 was so strange…”, “There are a lot of people he doesn’t fu#k with due to the risk of the vaccine and the virus…” and even mocked the trans community by mentioning that he never wants to be surrounded by trans people and it’s not right that anyone can just put a lipstick and use the women’s restroom.

He didn’t stop there, he kept on going one after another hurting the sentiments of many viewers either by the tarns jokes or by the COVID sarcasm as many of us have lost our close ones during the pandemic. After this, he even took the COVID jokes to this podcast where he is mentioning the flaws and mismanagement done by the authorities without considering the scale at which this pandemic was happening.

Before Joe Rogan, Dave Chapelle and Ricky Gervais had also experienced similar hate when they joked about the trans community. Joe started with making jokes on ‘pregnant men’ which then moved towards making fun of the trans community which eventually backfired on him.

Netflix seems to be developing some high-profile comedy shows in recent times such as John Mulaney’s show, Chris Rock’s Selective Outrage, and May’s Roast. Although Rogan is well known for his previous controversies such as California Wildfires misinformation in 2020, COVID-19 misinformation in April 2021, Artist Boycotts which eventually made Neil Young and Joni Mitchell remove their content from Spotify in protest, controversy due to using ethnic slurs in his podcast in 2022, inviting controversial guest in his podcast such as Kanye West, Alex Jones and others, making remarks on Olympics and now this Netflix’s special.

This even proves that Joe Rogan is least bothered about these controversies while he gains more and more popularity using these.
