Where is Jerry Ramrattan now?: The new Netflix documentary series is trending in the top 10 around the globe which deep dives into the darker reality of society and how being with the wrong person can completely change your life. In this article, we are going to explain what happened in episode 2, ‘Betrayed by the Badge’ of Worst Ex Ever which reflects the story of a fake cop, Jerry Ramrattan, who did something unexpected that left the whole city in shock.
This episode explains what happened to the victim Seemona Sumasar, who used to live in Seemona, Queens, New York, since she was 11 years old. She was a single mother with a daughter named Ciara, and used to run a shop where she met Jerry who introduced himself as a cop and was evening having a gun with him to display and a police badge. He started coming very often and they became close. Even Seemona’s family was happy for her getting close to Jerry as he was a cop and he could protect Seemona and her daughter with ease.
One fine day, Seemona received a call from a lady who informed her that she was his wife and he had two kids as well, moreover, he was lying with her as he was not a cop or any undercover detective. This call shook her and she confessed about it to Jerry and ended their relationship.

One day she asked Jerry to return the keys as she really wants to end this so he went to Seemona’s house to return the key but the moment Seemona opened the door, he pushed her to the ground and shut her mouth with a duct tape. After that, he started crying and trying to convince Seemona to get back with him but she wasn’t convinced. Then he dragged her to the basement and r@ped her.
After the r@pe, instead of Seemona crying, it was Jerry who started crying and asking her to not report this incident as he would land in trouble for this and then he left. As Seemona confirmed that he has left, she informed the cops about the incident and they arrested him but he was ultimately bailed for $15000 which was then paid by her mother.
One Friday, Seemona was going to deliver a package to his friend when she heard police car sirens. At first, she didn’t think it was for her and she slowed down but it turns out that the cops came to arrest her for some robbery case. They took her to interrogation where they asked multiple questions about the 3 robberies that had happened and the victim provided her car number plate as the vehicle used at the time of the robbery. She was held in Nassau County correctional facility for the accusations. She was charged with impersonating a cop and doing armed robbery at multiple locations across Queens and Nassau County.

Listening to the charges, she knew that it was Jerry framing her up but no one listened to her but the police had enough evidence against her to put her on trial. It was 3 people describing her personality and upon showing her photo, they identified her as the robber. Seemona was in jail when the police were still investigating her case. Her shop closed as there was no one to look after it and her house went for foreclosure which further devasted her.
Later, Jerry’s second girlfriend got to know that Jerry was trying to frame his ex-girlfriend into a false case by paying people to lie about the robbery and identify Seemona as the robber. Police investigated her statement and found that Seemona was innocent and it was actually Jerry who framed her in this. Seemona was released after 188 days from jail but her r@pe trail was still on the way.
Finally, when the r@pe trial happened, Jerry was held guilty and was sentenced to jail for 25 years (Maximum for r@pre cases) and 7 years for conspiracy which is a total of 32 years. After he was convicted, he made a statement, “It’s fine, you know, whatever has to happen today has to happen. But it’s nowhere done and over. I maintain my innocence, and there’s more to come.”
After knowing that he has been proven guilty, Seemona got the biggest relief of her life but she was also pissed on the Nassau County Police Officers as they never listened to her which made her stay that long in jail so she filled a case against them which finally concluded on January 2017, almost 7 years after Jerry’s arrest and Nassau County agreed to settle out of court and paid two million dollars to Seemona to dismiss the case.
