More From The Show: Monsters Season 2 Episode 1 Recap
The next morning, Lyle gets arrested the moment he plans to get out for lunch and Erik too gets arrested at the airport while he is away for his tennis tournament. The whole city is buzzing about this news that the brother might have killed their own parents but their own family was not accepting this and they wanted to hire a better lawyer who could defend them against the charges.
In the jail, Lyle also wrote an escape plan from the jail and sent it to Erik which got caught by the police and Lyle was moved to a separate cell away from Erik.
The new lawyer seems to be more sympathetic towards guilty men who she always wanted to defend. She went to meet Erik in the custody. She pointed out all the mistakes that he and Lyle made after doing the murders from having those confession session recordings to telling different stories to different people about what happened thinking they will never get caught. She then informs him that she has hired Dr William Vicary, a forensic psychiatrist with whom he needs to talk about what happened and assures that what happened with Dr. Oziel is not going to happen with him again and he needs to trust her with the case.
Now, Erik had his first session with Dr William. Vicary shared his note from the session with the lawyer who then goes to meet Erik. Erik accepts that he was being sexually molested by his elder brother Lyler but he never blamed him for that because even he had gone through the same thing done by their dad.
The lawyer was shocked after knowing this. Erik recalled that when Lyle asked him to stop, since then his father started doing things with Erik. They even tried to put Cinnamon in his food so that his cum would taste better at least but he figured out and in return, he started pouring lemon juice in his food so his taste buds could be numb while doing the act but nothing helped.
Erik recalls that these were the moments when he felt like doing anything willingly so that it could stop. The lawyer has no words to address this and episode 3 ends there.
