Bodkin Episode 2 Recap and Explained: Netflix released their next mystery thriller series “Bodkin” in seven episodes. The story happens in Bodkin, Ireland where 3 persons go there to make a podcast about the disappearance of 3 persons years ago. A journalist, researcher and podcaster join hands to solve the mystery that happened 20 years ago in Bodkin. As they meet and get information from people they start to face many obstacles in their path.
Episode 2 starts with Dove walking after the accident to the room. She was attacked and wounded. As she went to O’Shea’s house she saw Sean O’Shea’s car damaged with the fire happened before. She went to the room and Gilbert was there, he asked her what happened. Dove told him about the accident and the warning. Dove told him she thought the case was dull, as she was a life threat now she got interested in this topic.

Dove saw Sean O’Shea at the house, apparently, Sean O’Shea is the son of O’Shea. Gilbert gathered Dove and Emmy and started advising them about the thing that happened at the sergeant’s house. Gilbert told Emmy to not do something like that again. While he was talking Dove looked at the police file. And found out that the police found the missing kid after 3 days. The missing kid was found by a sister McDonagh. There was a name in the paper which was erased by a marker, Dove found out the name was Edward P. They arranged a meeting with the sister and went to the church.

The head nun showed them the church by avoiding meeting sister McDonagh. But while the head nun was distracted they went to meet sister McDonagh in her room. She is more than 80 years old. As Dove asked questions she didn’t answer correctly, but Gilbert’s way of talking made her tell what happened. Sister said she found the kid after 3 days, after that, she used to see the kid many times. His name is Teddy.
As they were talking the head nun came there and made them leave the church and also told them not to release the audio. They went to see Teddy with the help of Sean O’Shea. He drove them to Teddy’s garage. They tried to make him say the truth. He doesn’t know much about missing Malachy. But Fiona was a favourite to him. She was his teacher and he liked her. As they talked the sergeant came there shouting and asking them to leave. As Teddy has traumatic experiences he was not okay to talk.
Dove got a call from her boss, apparently, he warned her to lay low for some time as the police have subpoenaed her emails she can’t go back to London now. Sean O’Shea left the place in his car for a gun dealing he had. As the three walkway back they met Darragh and the old man. They asked questions about missing persons. But when asked about Malachy, Darragh started getting angry and shouted at them about asking the wrong questions to the wrong persons.
As they left there they saw people playing street golf. Gilbert joined them for the party. Sean O’Shea came to the pub and told Seamus that the package is delivered. Seamus and Gilbert had a good chat at the pub. Apparently everyone were saying Gilbert has been asked by Frank. At the party while Gilbert was drinking a lady came and showed him Frank. Apparently before at the pub Gilbert participated in gambling and owes Frank 8000 dollars.

Dove and Emmy met the photographer lady and asked about her picture collection. She said it would be there in newspapers published that time. Dove and Emmy got information about Malachy that he was bowling champion in ninety-nine. Dove and Emmy went to the library to look for newspaper articles about the championship to see Malachy’s picture. They jumped off the window trespassed into the library and found the picture of the the championship. They saw Malachy’s picture but also saw young Seamus near Malachy.
Dove got her memory about Seamus, she said his photo is something she doesn’t forget and says his real name is Jack McFadden who he also known as The Badger. He was a big smuggler at that time. And people thought that he was dead, but he came here instead without anyone noticing. After his arrival, these things happened. As Dove explained this to Gilbert and Emmy, O’Shea came there and called them to show something. They saw Darragh’s dead body outside.
This Bodkin Episode 2 was interesting compared to the first one which was very normal and not interesting. This became better and shifted to a thriller mode at the end.
