Bodkin Episode 4 Recap and Explained: Netflix presents “Bodkin” a seven episodic crime investigation mystery thriller that happened 20 years ago in Bodkin, Ireland. Three people went to make a podcast about three people that happened years ago. A podcaster and two female journalists join hands to solve the puzzle of the mystery that happened that day.
While they were looking for answers unexpected things started to happen surrounding them making the case more complicated. What happened to those three missing persons that day is what the story going to unveil.
Episode 4 opened with the two bodies which got shown in the car dicky. The police told everyone to leave the place. They all thought it would be Fiona and Malachy’s body. The podcasters were looking out for Sean O’Shea to go back in the car. But he was not there. Apparently, Emmy’s forgot her phone in Sean O’Shea’s car. Emmy tracked the phone location and they went to see Sean O’Shea. They reached near a garage.

There were kids playing with Air rifles. Seamus Gallagher and Sean O’Shea walked out of the garage. As they went out the podcasters went inside the garage. They saw tanks filled with water inside the garage. When Dove tried to look inside the tank, she fell into it. Dove suddenly got out of the tank with the wet dress.
Suddenly two persons came there with guns pointing at them. As they surrendered the two of them said they were Interpol. Apparently, those two threatened Dove before. They are behind Seamus Gallagher, as he was doing eel smuggling. They have been behind him for some time. The Interpol warned podcasters not to come near the warehouse and Seamus Gallagher. They went back home and discussed the current scenario.

The next day morning Frank came to the house and took Gilbert. Frank hit Gilbert for warning him about the money. Gilbert called his ex-wife to talk about his situation but he cut the call. Seamus Gallagher came in his vehicle and met with Gilbert. Gilbert told Seamus Gallagher to go away as he was not in a good mood.
Seamus Gallagher told Gilbert that he would give the 8000 dollars that he needed to settle Frank but in return, they need to avoid his name from this podcast. Also need to avoid his story too. Seamus Gallagher took Gilbert in his car. Seamus Gallagher stopped the car in the middle near his boat. Seamus Gallagher went to his boat to have a meeting with someone. Gilbert looked outside and saw the buyer Seamus Gallagher meeting was the two Interpol agents.
They came with Sean O’Shea to make a deal. As Seamus Gallagher talked with them, they said they needed eel and they will pay a huge amount. They faked their identity as Japanese clients. The money is huge and Seamus Gallagher said okay for the deal. Seamus Gallagher came back to the car. Next, he stopped in a stranded place near a hill. Gilbert followed him behind and saw Seamus Gallagher going inside a small cave to get money.
Seamus Gallagher gave the money to Gilbert. They went to meet Frank to give the money. Gilbert gave the money but Frank told a joke that the money wasn’t enough and he needed interest. It was a joke but Seamus Gallagher didn’t like and hit Frank many times. Dove asks Emmy to meet Fintan to get information about what really happened that day from Teddy. They got a knife from the car and it had Teddy’s signature icon marked in it. Emmy went to meet Fintan and gave the knife to Teddy so that all these confusions would stop. Fintan went to meet Teddy, as they spoke.

Fintan said sorry for leaving him that day. While they were talking Emmy was recording it and Dove was also outside. Teddy told him the knife was gifted to his father Sergeant Power. He put it on his car for safety back then. Apparently, Emmy recorded all these. Dove got a call from his boss saying that Dove had a warrant on her to get her back to London. Emmy told Dove that the car might be Sergeant Power’s and Dove asked for the audio recording of the conversation Teddy and Fintan had. As Emmy didn’t give the audio they had a small quarrel and Fintan saw the recording and got sad.
They continued to fight while walking too. Gilbert took Seamus Gallagher to show the two bodies with the help of Dove. When checked Seamus Gallagher told Gilbert that the lady’s body is not of Fiona as she lost teeth years ago so it couldn’t be her. This episode was an interesting one. After one surprise another twist came at the end. The body is not Fiona’s so it will lead to more revealings in upcoming episodes.
