Justine Siemens Today?: In the new documentary released by Netflix on 28th Aug, 2024, we get to know about a real-life shocking incident that took place in Oregon, a US state. In the first episode, ‘Dating the Devil’ of the show, ‘Worst Ex Ever’ deep dives into the horrific crimes committed by a boyfriend to her multiple girlfriends whom he uses to find through social gatherings and online dating apps.
This incident is related to a man named Benjamin Obadiah Foster who had a history of domestic abuse earlier as well and in this article, we are going to discuss one of the victims, Justine Siemens. While interviewing for this show, she says that the word ‘torture’ would be an understatement of what she went through because of Ben. She also added that she wouldn’t be alive if Angie had not reached there on time and reported the incident to the police immediately. But what actually happened in real life?
Who was Benjamin Foster?
Benjamin Obadiah Foster was a 36-year-old man who used to live in Grants Pass, Oregon. He had a habit of domestic violence even with his earlier girlfriends named Amber and Jamiee but this last incident took things to an extreme extent. His last girlfriend, Justine Siemens was kidnapped in her own house by Benjamin and was beaten again and again just to fuel is rage. He tortured her for three days tied in ropes but somehow Justine managed to make a call to her close friend, Angie’s mother saying she need to go to the hospital but she isn’t able to and since then her call was unreachable.
Angie went to her house to check on her and even called 911 on the way. Upon arrival, she heard Justine screaming in pain from inside and then heard repeated banging sound. She rushed towards the garage to get inside the house as the front door was locked. Suddenly, she finds Ben coming out of the house who informs Angie that her friend Justine has got a heart attack so she should go check her inside while he will get the car from the garage and he then drives away from the scene. When Angie went inside, she wasn’t able to believe what she saw as Justine was covered with brushes all over her body, had broken bones, and multiple injuries, and was lying unconscious on the ground.
When the police arrived at the scene, they sent Justine to the hospital where the doctors were skeptical about her survival as she went into a coma. On the other hand, police were searching everything for Ben as they knew how dangerous this man was and if not caught soon, he might commit more such crimes. This manhunt was in all the news headlines from where Amber and Jamiee got to know that their ex-boyfriend, Ben Foster has done similar abuse to them as well.

In January 2023, finally, this manhunt came to an end and Ben was located in a house. Police got the search warrant but he wasn’t inside the cops were too confident about his location so they ran a more extensive search near his residence and found him hidden in a narrow passage below his residence holding a gun in his hand. They tried to convince him to surrender himself but he ended up shooting himself with his gun. By the time police took him to hospital, he was declared dead which finally brought this terrific case to an end.
Where is Justine Siemens now?
While interviewing for this Netflix show, ‘Worst Ex Ever’, she mentioned that it’s been a very long road for her as she suffered from traumatic brain damage due to the level of torture she experienced and had to recover physically as well which she is still doing even now. She even needed to learn how to walk again as her leg muscles had severe damage and also she got all her teeth replaced because Ben had broken all her teeth out.
She even said, ‘It’s been a lot to deal with and I’m very luck to be alive today. It wouldn’t have been possible without Angie’.
