Nobody Wants This Season 2 Release Date Update – Renewed Or Not?

Nobody Wants This Explained

Nobody Wants This Season 2: Nobody Wants This, a Netflix original created by Erin Foster is a romantic-comedy miniseries revolving around the tumultuous relationship between a rabbi and a sex podcast host. Starring Adam Brody, Kristen Bell, Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons among others, the show is an emotional roller coaster of laughs, cries, awws and wtfs! A fun watch over the weekend, this cute rom-com gets you in all the feels.

Noah, a Jewish rabbi, after a rough breakup with his ex-girlfriend Rebecca, meets Joanne. An independent and ambitious sex podcast host Joanna too, falls for Noah and his charming wit. While religion, ideology, work and family all try to distance the lovers, in the end, it is their love that prevails.

While the ending leaves a lot of things unsaid, Netflix has not yet greenlit the show for a second season. Although, with the show being less than a week old and already gaining so much popularity as well as critical acclaim, the making of another instalment seems inevitable.

Even though the show ends on a heartfelt, emotional and happy note, what the future holds for Noah and Joanne is not revealed. Overcome by the passion of new love, Noah decides to leave his career behind for Joanne, but its repercussions in the long run are yet to be explored. Even the friendship of Morgan and Sasha as they grew closer by the end of the show remains unexplored.

While it is understandable for the makers to keep up the fantasy of true love above all, the audiences would like to see the consequences that follow the couple’s decision, including the reactions of Noah’s family, especially his mother Bina.

On the business side, too, many things are left uncovered. Joanne and Morgan’s business deal with Spotify for the acquisition of their podcast is left as a mystery. It would be exciting to see Noah and Joanne overcome the struggles of her profession in the next season, running parallel to the plot of season one.
