The Frog Episode 7 Recap

Back home, the owner of the laundromat catches her on a CCTV camera disrobing herself from her blood-stained clothes. By now, Jeon’s friend Yong-chae has also been discharged from the hospital and goes to check on Jeon at his rental. There he finds the obnoxious guest Yoo Jeon once complained about.

He threatens to take legal action and accuses her of lying when she suggests she’s buying the villa. Once again coming to blows, Yoo badly injures an already weak Yong-chae by stabbing him in the neck with a screwdriver. She then ties him up, and in order to lure Jeon’s daughter to the villa, texts her from his phone.

In the next scene, Yoo is seen at the supermarket, in a manic state of mind, frolicking around buying suspicious cleaning supplies and catching the eye of Capt. Yoon Bo-min. Meanwhile, Jeon’s daughter Ui-Seon has made her way to the vacation home and finds Yoo there. Displeased by her trivial mind games, she takes matters into her own hands and strikes Yoo. The brawl ends with both Yong-chae and Ui-seon defeated by Yoo, who then calls and threatens Jeon, as seen in the last episode.

Jeon makes his way towards the villa, armed with Gi-ho’s gun, all set to take action. But Yoo, once again with her cheap tricks manages to pacify the infuriated Jeon. She first lets him take his friend to the hospital, where the owner of the laundromat thinks of him as the perpetrator. To locate his daughter, Jeon agrees to Yoo’s conditions of leaving. First, he must not tell her ex-husband of her whereabouts if he comes around searching. And second, he is to help her bury a body in the vegetable garden. All the while, his phone continues ringing with calls from Capt. Yoon Bo-min, which he declines.

When taken to the location where her daughter is kept, he sees a red suitcase, the same one Yoo came with, at the corner of a creek. When he tells Yoo to open it up, flashes of light blind her, as the police have finally caught her at the scene of the crime. This surprise interjection was all thanks to Capt.

Recaps Of Other Episodes: “The Frog” Episode 4 Explained

Yoon Bo-min’s observations throughout Yoo’s stay. We see how she was informed by the owner of the laundromat about Yoo’s suspicious behaviour, and suspects police officer Kim’s violent outburst to be another one of Yoo’s tricks. The screwdriver injury on Yong-chae, and the equipment she once found at the villa further turn her doubts into concrete evidence. Finally, she confronts Jeon about it, who confesses and they both plan to find his daughter. It is then that Yoo is caught red-handed and taken in by the police.

Jeon rushes to the hospital to check on his daughter and is informed of her pregnancy there. He blames himself for all the evil that has befallen him and his loved ones. To console him, Capt. Yoon narrates the story of the frog, once told to her by Gu Sang-jun, as the frog, when hit, always wonders why it was him who was hit, and blames itself for the wrong another committed towards him.

While all seems to be resolved and the series is nearly coming to an end, Jeon reminds Capt. Yoon of the dead body which Yoo wished to bury in his garden. Back at his place, a strange entity roams and picks up his gun before the screen cuts to black, leaving the viewers hanging in anticipation as to what the last episode holds for them.
