Who is That Shadow? In ‘The Acolyte’: Welcome to a galaxy far, far away, where Disney+Hotstar has released the first episode of The Acolyte, the latest Star Wars series. In “Lost/Found,” viewers enter a peaceful world threatened by growing dark forces. Join us for a recap and analysis of this debut instalment!
Plunge into a time when the Jedi enforced peace—a hundred years before the Death Star—with “The Acolyte.” Here, we see the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic at their height, unaware they’re on the edge of chaos; sinister forces are about to disturb an almost comically serene galaxy. Against a backdrop of Machiavellian intrigue, shadowy figures flexing their muscles and playing at being kingmakers (plus some queens), comes a tale concerning hidden energies: ones that people might need to fear rather than cultivate for world-moving revenge, as well as how hard it can be for anyone—even Jedi—to stay balanced. At the same time, all this goes down around them in space!
Lee’s character, Sol, from Squid Game, is the main hero in a world of excitement and peril. Instead of being like every other hero, Sol uses his intelligence and cleverness to deal with problems peacefully—something new for TV shows about saving the universe!

See Indara and Mae battle at our space carnival! Usually, fights here are between ships or robots. These two women fight with energy blasts like in old movies, but much more significantly. Indara is furious; Mae is calm and cool. The crowd loves it: they’ve never seen anything so intense in zero gravity. The show has everything fans enjoy about action films that influenced Star Wars’ look and feel (cool fights, story). But there’s more going on than just punching one another—lots of things. Watching these foes against a backdrop of stars will set up future episodes nicely, too! So strap yourselves in because things have become very intriguing on this cosmic journey through space, once again proving that when scoundrels and outlaws collide, only girls bring thunderous performances.
Who is That Shadow? Ending Explained
As soon as it seemed like stuff was getting boring, The Acolyte shook things up again—in a big way! An unknown person shows up, looking all dark and mysterious. What does that mean?!? Does this new arrival want to fight our heroes or join them? There’s going to be drama, that’s for sure. This ending will make you crazy because secrets might be coming out, or maybe everything will go wrong (or right)—we just don’t know yet. Get your lightsaber ready for more action as we explore strange new puzzles across the stars.
The beginning of episode 1 is a little slow, but there’s a heap of mystery plus drama. Is it worth giving up an evening to Disney+Hotstar? Here’s the deal: do you fancy loads of tension, dodgy-looking characters, and so many secrets it’d make a Bothan spy blush? Then yes, you should. Be prepared for an epic binge-watch.
This isn’t one big lightsaber battle after another, and it’s more like a perfect glass of wine from Corellia—there are lots of different Flavors in there. Some of them might surprise you, though. If you prefer your action at hyper speed, you might find things a bit laid back.
But if you’re happy to spend time getting to know all the details about the history and culture (as well as watching cosmic secrets slowly being revealed), then stick with it. Will you regret spending hours on this show? As a wise little green man once said: ‘Do or do not, there is no try.’ (But seriously – do!)
